This text concerns on na investigation of the various senses of the sacred words on cultural production of contemporary art and literature in Chile. By sacred words we mean the secret, deep and living relation of the people with their community and culture. Relation expressed by personal emotions and by conscious and unconscious beliefs. In this research, we have explored some of the meanings of this sacred senses powerfully expressed in Gabriela Mistral’s poetry and in visual performances of Angela Riesco. We have also observed the power of the meaning of strength kept by the community. She stands up and she gives music and songs to the forgotten and poor people. This process permits her artistic production to acquire a sacred sense as the foundation of the names of a community.Downloads
