Abstract

The objective of this article is to demonstrate through the study of the nuances in the biography and intelectual production of Matin of Braga and Gonzalo of Berceo, clerics that worked and lived in different historical contexts, that Hispanic eleciastical body tried to proceed, across the Middle Ages, to the end that to elevate the intelectual level not only of clergymen, but also the laymen.
