Historical research and content analysis: relevance and possibilities

The possibilities and adequation of the methodology of "content analysis" for the historical research are discussed. For such, theorical-methodological aspects of History are approached; the difference between “content analysis" and "speech analysis" is clarified; comments are made about the stages for the development of "CA", as well as the principal techniques for development. It follows that it is a methodology with wide possibilities of choice, capable of helping in the development of the capacities of deduction and intuition, fundamental for the historical research.
