Abstract

The emergence of New Information and Communication Technologies (NICT) demands answers from health care professionals, taking into account the considerable transformations experienced by society. This context is discussed here as one of the scenarios of human needs. The study “Human Resources Network of SES at Specialization, M. Sc. and Ph. D. levels”, coordinated by the social service of ESP, aims at discussing some aspects of this reality in virtual networks. In order to to so, it brings about some aspects of the history of health care in Brazil, and links them to the evolution of knowledge technologies. We highlight the perspectives perceived until today under this strategy of action and consideration on health care.
