Abstract

This text has the intention to enlighten some fragments of the proceedings on researcher (self) education, involved in research and writing about herself. In a kind of hermeneutic exercise of self and others, the text will show the processes of how we become what we are and how we are being, from the studies of life histories in formation, with some contributions from the imaginary. The questions are displayed in a double movement: why we research? What we research? Thus, we will compose the research findings of life history research, carried out with eight students in the School of Education, during four years, at the Federal University of Pelotas, to show the existential and symbolic matrices which conduct the professional choices.

Author Biography

Lúcia Maria Vaz Peres, Universidade Federal de Pelotas

Possui graduação em Pedagogia pela Universidade Católica de Pelotas (1982) e doutorado em Educação pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1999). Atualmente é professora na categoria Associado nível I, Faculdade de Educação, na Universidade Federal de Pelotas. Desenvolve atividades de docência na graduação e no Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação. Na graduação do Curso de Pedagogia trabalha na área da Psicologia e Tópicos Específicos. Na Pós, nível Mestrado e Doutorado, desenvolve estudos e pesquisas na temática do Imaginário, processos relativos a (auto)formação e Representações. Neste programa participa da Linha de Pesquisa Cultura Escrita: linguagens e aprendizagem, tendo como foco a autobiografia, a pesquisa-formação e processos humanos (auto)formadores. É lider do grupo de pesquisa: Imaginário, Educação e Memória (GEPIEM), sediado no CNPq e vice-lider do GEPEIS ( Imaginário Socila e Educação). Também participa como pesquisadora do grupo Photographein. É representante da Associação Brasileira de Pesquisa (Auto)Biográfica - BIOgraph, na Região Sul.
