Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the way a contemporary and Brazilian text of children’s literature produces concepts that hold up ideas of seeing, describing, understanding and living. It refers to the subject known as excluded childhood. This analysis enquire the following issues: 1) the production of a “dangerous” childhood; 2) a conception of the childhood as a taking place status from the view of a discourse centered on the “adulthood”; 3) the text’s association with either a liberal or humanist multiculturalists pedagogical discourse.
