The paper analyzes the expanded abstracts written and presented to the event called Pedagogy Seminar of Higher Education: Sharing of Innovative Practices carried out by the Center for Studies and Research on University Pedagogy - NEPPU of a public institution of Higher Education of the State of Bahia. The objective of the study was to analyze how the teachers, authors of the abstracts and participants of the Seminar conceived an innovative practice. The methodology used was the development of the State of Art, which consists of a mapping technique of studies already performed in a certain area of knowledge. The theoretical basis was the contributions of Cunha (2001), Fullan (2007), Lucarelli (2005), among others. The study showed that teachers consider their practices as innovative because they are based on the paradigm of change characterized by a variety of methodological strategies that the teacher develops, making classes different and attractive for students.
