Children and Adolescent’s Statue reflects the democratic spirit of the 1988 Brazilian Constitution. The inclusion of mechanisms that make possible the popular participation multiplies the spaces of representation approaching the State of the society. The Childhood and youth police begin to incorporate new groups of participants that are organized according to a non ideological political logic based on the defense of the “children citizenship”. Key words: Popular participation; representation; state; children citizenshipDownloads
