Abstract

This text presents the issue related to Trade Unions and their connection to the State, from 1935 to 1936, in Great Britain. The discussion is grounded on the Master’s Thesis of C. B. Macpherson, a canadian political theorist. The central idea of the work is to present the argument that property relations are the hidden purposes over which the relationship between the State and Trade Unions are based. Key words: Social contract; property; state; voluntary associations
