Abstract

The proposal of this article is to discuss the relationship among democracy, participation and deliberation. With this aim the work was divided after the analysis of four matters: democracy and its adjectives; habermasian proposal of discursive deliberation procedures; the contribution of participative democracies for the debate about the democracy theory and, finally, of broadening the concept of democracy.
