Educational Vulnerability and Academic Vulnerability

This article aims to discuss the concept of vulnerability applied to the educational field, especially higher education. This is a study based on bibliographic review and critical analysis. Despite the different definitions, the objective is to provide politicizing alternatives in their sense/ use, understanding the predominant and limiting meaning given to the concept, which is incorporated by social policies. The academic debate on vulnerability reveals specific and interrelated issues such as access, permanence and completion of higher education. The fundamental theoretical contribution and gives consistency to the proposals and intervention possibilities based on specific methodologies.
