Abstract

In this paper, the analysis focus will be the cases of consonants epenthesis which appear systematically in the productions of the child under study. This phenomenon, which will be analyzed based on the Optimality Theory, can also be observed in the Dutch system confirming that the developmental stages in children’s grammars ought to mimic the diversity seen in the language typology (McCARTHY, 2002).
