In this interview, French professor and researcher José-Luis Diaz, a specialist in the literature of the French Romantic period, resumes his theory of the imaginary writer and discusses important concepts for the understanding, not only of French Romantic writings, but of fundamental notions of literary theory. Clarifying issues related to authorship, the death of the author, biographism, intentionality, literary consecration and celebrity, the history of literature, comparative literature, literary reception and production, enunciation, ethos, among others, Diaz brings the author to the scene, showing the potentiality of the concept of authorial scenographies as a fruitful theoretical operator in the field of literature.
