Reflections about the nature of political power: the question of hypocrisy

The approach of this article is the relation between hypocrisy and power. According to the developed thought, the issue the hypocrisy is considered as a relevant aspect of the origin of the political power. The meaning of the hypocrisy concept is defined by recovering the intelectual debate about this topic. The contrasting tendencies of this debate show the connection among hypocrisy, knowledge and power. The hypocritical resource is analised as na efficient instrument of power relations. The rationalistic ways that promote and stimulate the hypocritical action are outlined and the reasons of their frequent use in the political game are explained.Downloads
