We tried to develop the quite peculiar relations between Religion and Politics established in Uruguay. We also tried to problematize both the civil religion and the public space concepts departing from the gestation of a new religious horizon shaped by the confrontation between Pentecostals and Afro-Brazilians. Key words: Religion; Politics; Neo-pentecostalism; Afro-Brazilians.Downloads
