Reduction of the work hours as a solution for the unemployment: is it the Sisyphus or Prometheus myth?

The purpose of this study was to analyse the possibilities and the limits of the reduction the hours of work in order to create new job places. To reach this aim we analyze the evolution of the hours of work in a year basis in developed countries, the macroeconomics impacts and the possible ways the companies can compensate the reduction of the hours of work.
