This discussion proposes a reflection on the impacts process of recognition and titling processes of Quilombo communities, according to the prescription of the Article 68 of the Constitution of Brazil. The proposal reflects on the emergence of new categories of legal subjects and sociocultural and political effects for the groups concerned and involved in the process.
