Transnational religions: the Roman Catholic Church in Brazil and the Orthodox Church in Russia

This essay takes up current issues facing the Roman Catholic Church in Brazil and the Russsian Orthodox Church in the post-soviet republic, the Russian Federation. Issues and institutions are treated comparatively, even if selectively and almost solely out of a concern by the Author for contemporary "transnational" religions.
