The experience of a collaborative writing of a guide in the school shift coordination sector

This report of experience presents the creation process of an orientational basic guide for the assistants of Colégio Marista Ipanema school. It exposes the problematic part of the demand for a standardization of the assistant’s actions facing daily school situations, as well as for a better reception for new employees in the institution. The making of the document is based in a collaborative writing, uniting different agents of the process, such as the shift coordinators, educational vice-principal, and assistants. The direct involvement of the assistants in the making of the guide brings the feeling of belonging and value for the institution, in the direct action in the educational process. At the end of the guide’s writing, the importance of an attentive listening and of the systematization of the assistant’s actions is perceived, aiming for a legacy to the institution, as well as for encouraging dialogue, for gratitude, for protagonism and for transformation of the educational act.
