This article is the outcome of an intervention in a Psychosocial Care Centers under the university extension project “Therapeutic Workshops on Psychosocial Care Centers.” Its objective is to describe and discuss aspects related to the methodological approach adopted. To do so, we focused on the construction of life stories as the main instrument on the therapeutic workshop. The contributions of Psychoanalysis to the field of Mental Health as well as the works of Freud and Lacan concerning the build of personal histories were the main theoretical and methodological resources used to this investigation. The accomplishment of ten workshops showed an evident repercussion, enabling the group to construct histories and to produce a newspaper entitled “Jornal do CAPS”. We also identified communication changes, as in the act of tell and construct stories and in friendship set up between the members of the group.Downloads
