Psychologists around the world made an abrupt transition from face-to-face services to online services due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to identify the aspects that impacted the practice of Brazilian schema therapists due to this widespread adoption of remote care. This is a cross-sectional and correlational study carried out by collecting data from 79 schema therapists, with different backgrounds, who, through a sociodemographic questionnaire and psychometric instruments, provided data on their behaviors and perceptions related to their videoconferencing services. The main results were favorable attitudes towards the use of technology, perception of equivalence in the quality of care and the therapeutic relationship compared to face-to-face care and preference for mental imagery techniques over chair techniques. It is hoped that these data will contribute to the reflection and future practice of schema therapists in remote care.
