Abstract

The aim of this research was verify if the perception of presence of stressor factors was related with the way of realizing the disability and the work possibilities of people with disabilities (PWDs). It was carried out a quantitative investigation at a university from Minas Gerais, Brazil, with 241 civil servants. In order to identify the stressors factors, it was used 18 working stressor factors. More than 10% of the civil servant realized the frequent presence of ten stressor factors at their work. Four stressor factors were correlated with different ways of assessing the possibilities of working from PWDs. These results indicate that organizational actions that assure the suitable work resources, feedbacks opportunities about the performance of employees, training and participation of employees in the decision process, will favor inclusive attitudes, better perception of the benefits of hiring PWDs and will contribute to minimize the stressor factors.
