Abstract

This study aims to research about the mental health in the work, the center of attention is the worker’s acknowledgmen. The research field as the Guard Hall of Porto Alegre – GMP, more specifically the Special Motorized Reverse – GEM. The subjects, municipal guards, are workers who have the activity of urban safety. The methodology for the research was the psychodynamics at work which aims, through listening and speaking, to know about the organization of work and the effectiveness of the strategies, analyzing the speech and listening to the suffering. This study was possible to appreciate the objective and the subjective aspects of the daily work of these city police oficcers and strategies that they create to keep themselves as normal sufferers.
