Muchos libros y artículos fueron escritos sobre el pensamiento de Karl Marx, pero menos se escribieron sobre la vida de Marx en sí. Este artículo pretende ofrecer una visión general de las biografías de Marx escritas hasta el momento, desde las primeras del siglo XIX hasta las del siglo XXI. Analizaremos la evolución de estas biografías tanto en términos de calidad formal-metodológica como en términos de nuevas pruebas fácticas proporcionadas por ellas sobre la vida de Marx.
