Abstract

The violence against children and adolescents is a social phenomenon that crosses the borders of economical and social position, faith, race or culture, and it has been the object of study of several professionals and institutions that work with this subject. Through the departments of Social Work, Law, Social Communication and Social and Institutional Psychology, Londrina’s State University is accomplishing a work in partnership with the three Guardian Counsel of the city in order to assist the cases of violence committed against the child and the adolescent. The violence is not a mere picture of an external reality, isolated and impenetrable, but it reveals a relation that reaches violator and violated, explicating the consequences of such practice. The actions involving different areas of knowledge allows an amplification the comprehension of this phenomenon, as well as the drawing of the strategies of intervention for prevention, spreading information to touch different segments of the organized civil society. The integration of knowledge in the way of the Group of Inter-Science Work resizes the phenomenon of the violence in its extension and complexion, installing the political commitment and social responsibility in all its participants.
