Abstract

The current context of social, political, economic and technological has led organizations to face challenges of adapting to the new global market demands, requiring constant updates and revisions in the working place. The ability to innovate as organizational competence has a strategic role for companies seeking competitive advantage over the competition. The objective of this work is to analyze the professionals’ perception of a telecom company over the determining factors of organizational innovation. The study presents an exploratory research for developing the instrument and descriptive conducted as a case study in a telecommunications company, in which it was taken the employees’ opinions about the presence and importance of organizational innovation factors in their workplace. Results of this research indicate that there is a moderate perception over the presence and a high perception over the importance for the innovation factors analyzed. Conclusions taken from this work shows that the instrument developed in this research could help companies to identify investment priorities towards creating a favorable workplace for innovation.
