Abstract

In the food industry, innovation arises from the development of new products and is an important source of differentiation and value. The functional food (FF) is considered an innovation. The objective of this study is to describe the existing inter-organizational relations in FF chain. To achive, semi-structured interviews were conducted qualitatively. High Level organizational interactions have been identified for the development of new products. Understanding the structure of inter-organizational relationships should be treated as important for the development of FF, because it can help the food industry to add value and gain market share.
