Abstract:
Essay on Saramago, based upon Blindness, the novel by José Saramago, was built around a philosophical viewpoint that particularly considers the theory of Fredric Jameson. The frozen temporality, as a hypothesis, is the main point of the author, who places emphasis on quotidian existence that is suddenly interrupted. Modernity and Postmodernity on Saramago are discussed in order to contemplate irony, not like an axiom, but like a texture that weaves and involves cloth and artist.
