Abstract

2011 foi o ano do Centenário de morte de Tristão Alencar Araripe Júnior, nascido em Fortaleza-CE. Juntamente com Sílvio Romero (1851-1914) e José Veríssimo (1857-1916), eles são considerados os críticos literários brasileiros mais famosos do período que se estende de 1870 a 1916. Como os textos de Araripe Júnior costumam ser menos lidos do que os de seus contemporâneos, resolvi escrever sobre seus relevantes trabalhos de crítica e história literária brasileira.

Abstract:

 

 

2011 was the Death Centenary of Tristão de Alencar Araripe Júnior, born in Fortaleza-CE. Sílvio Romero (1851-1914), José Veríssimo (1857-1916) and him were the most famous Brazilian Critics from 1870 to 1916. As Araripe Júnior’s texts are less read then his contemporaries, I’ve decided to write this paper about his relevant works about his Criticism and Brazilian Literary History.
