“MEANING AND SYNONYMY IN NATURAL LANGUAGES” OF THE RUDOLF CARNAP - EXTENSIONALIST THESIS VERSUS THE INTENSIONALIST THESIS: THE QUARREL BETWEEN CARNAP AND QUINE.
Abstract
This work presents the text Meaning and Synonymy in Natural Languages of the Rudolf Carnap. The so-called extensionalist thesis is antepost by the intensionalist thesis, defended by the German philosopher, which one, starting from a series of logical statements very well argumentatively defended, believes to offer to the scientific community an empiric form to test the way the determination of intensions is given, that is, how the meaning of expressions is designated.Downloads
