This paper intends to discuss the phenomenon of acceleration in the contemporary world from the perspective of Hartmut Rosa, analyzing the impacts of acceleration on the constitution of subjectivities. To do so, it will start from a conception of subjectivity structured from Levinas’ thinking, reflecting how an accelerated world influences the relationship established with the other and with the world and how this impacts on the very constitution of the self. Throughout the text it is tried, even if more generally, to establish a relationship between the concept of resonance proposed by Rosa and the Levin asian idea of responsibility for the other.
