Abstract

The World as Will and Representation, by A. Schopenhauer, constitutes one of the main sources of the first productive stage of Nietzsche’s work. This article highlights the main points of metaphysics of music developed in the third chapter of Schopenhauer’s work and indicates their determinants influences on the young Nietzsche.
