O significado da salvação na <i>História Eclesiástica</i> de Eusébio de Cesaréia
Abstract
Eusébio de Cesaréia procura realçar, no seu livro História Eclesiástica, a atuação salvífica de Nosso Salvador Jesus Cristo, através de seus discípulos, os cristãos. O desígnio divino, percebido como “economia”, realizou-se na história pela encarnação do Verbo. A análise dos primeiros dois livros coloca a realidade das provas e perseguições por que ela (a Igreja) teria que passar por causa de Cristo, mas ela não seria desamparada pela presença do Salvador, Jesus Cristo, no qual o cristianismo um dia seria vitorioso sobre o paganismo.

Abstract
Eusebius of Caesarea tries to underwrite in his Ecclesiastical History the salvific aspect of our Lord Jesus Christ with the collaboration of his disciples. God’s purpose, as economy, was achieved by the incarnation of the Logos. The two first books of this work show the reality of the Church: persecutions and other sufferings on account of Christ. At the end the presence of our Lord will guarantee the victory of the Church.
