Abstract

Venenos de Deus, remédios do Diabo, the most up-to-dated Mia Coutos’ novel, by putting face to face portuguese and mozanbican characters, explores themes linked to the hybrid formation of Mozambique. The objective of this article is to investigate how the categories of nation and identity are explored in the novel narrative. The theoretical support is grounded in the post-colonial estudies and in the cultural studies.
