Abstract

The purpose of this article is to show, through the study of the series The Midnight Gospel (2020), that the digital narrative explores, enhances, and gives new meaning to the mythological question in our days. In the series The Midnight Gospel, the theories of the imaginary and the study of narrative are used to analyze the myth of puer aeternus as revealing the difficulty of becoming an adult in a world where social reality is permeated by alternatives of simulations or escape from reality. The conclusion is that narrative assumes a pedagogical, dialogic, and interactional role, present in orality and conversational practices, and that meditation is a necessary practice for psychic health.
