The review aims to bring an overview of the book Trauma in Civilization, released in 2020, and its contributions to the field of psychoanalysis in its articulations with politics. The authors seek to expand the notion of trauma, removing it from its exclusively individualizing condition and pointing to the modalities of suffering that relate to sociopolitical violence.
