According to Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, to understand individual substances we must distance ourselves and see the totality. In fact, it is necessary to see the picture at a convenient distance to understand the perfection of wholeness and uniqueness. The possible exit from the labyrinth in which metaphysics entangled us, stimulates the desire to know everything and the certainty that there are no equal substances. Totality and difference; maximum totality and maximum difference.
