Abstract

The scope of business association and interest representation in Brazil in the past decades has been modified by the creation of political organizations such as the Instituto Liberal (Libertarian Institute). It specializes in the diffusion of a very conservative approach of neoliberalism, based on the Austrian Economics School. The text analyzes the political context in which the Institutes aroused, the strategies the Libertarian Institutes adopt to indoctrinate these ideas among selected segments of the Brazilian elite and some public policies they propose. Keywords: Business association; interest representation; neoliberalism
