Abstract

Insects adapt and make strict relationship with the environment where they live in. The natural resource exploration over the years, without any study of our entomologic fauna, the knowledge make unviable the diversity and abundance loss during this time. This study carried out a survey about the occurrence of insect orders in União da Vitória (PR) district, in an area with three different flora situations, area “A” with forest in secondary succession stage, “B” transition of forest do a pasture area, “C”, agricultural cultivation area, sine October 2005 to September 2006, making use traps like Malaise. For data analyze were used the diversity index and equitabilities of Schannon-wiener, Pielou’s domination, Jacard’s similarities, for fauna analyze were used constancy, abundance, frequency, and domination index. It was collected a total of 58,742 specimens distributed in 19 orders. The most abundant were Hemiptera, Coleoptera, Diptera, Hymenoptera and Lepidoptera, these together with Orthoptera were frequents in all sampled months. The area “A” had the biggest diversity and the smallest abundance, area “B” was the less diverse, while area “C” was the most abundant.
