Abstract

Tamandua tetradactyla (Linnaeus, 1758), popularly known for tamanduá-mirim or tamanduá-of-vest, meets distributed for all the regions of the state sparsely, in an ample terrestrial variety of habitats, possesss average transport, terrestrial habits and arborícolas, yellowish coloration with a dark spot of size and varied form that a vest remembers, are fed of social insects. T. tetradactyla consists as vulnerable in the Red Book of the Threatened Fauna of Extinguishing of the Rio Grande do Sul. She is registered the occurrence of two specimens of T. tetradactyla in the Itaqui city, border west of the Rio Grande do Sul.
