SPECIAL ISSUE – BRAZILIAN CONTEMPORARY SHORT STORY BY WOMEN WRITERS

Contemporary Brazilian short stories written by women come from a vast and rich tradition, which dates at least from the XIX century until today. In our contemporary world, there are many women writers with a relevant production in the field of short fiction, as is the case of well-known writers Lygia Fagundes Telles and Nélida Piñon. In our last decades, new authors have contributed significantly to the development of the genre, as is the case of Cíntia Moscovich, Adriana Lisboa, Adriana Lunardi, Natalia Borges Polesso, Verônica Stigger, Conceição Evaristo, Patrícia Melo, Cristiane Sobral, among others. Therefore, the editors of this special issue of the journal Letras de Hoje on literary studies invite researchers to submit critical articles on Brazilian contemporary short stories by women writers which have been produced and published in the last fifty years.

The texts must be unpublished, in Portuguese, English, Spanish or French, and must be submitted to the journal by February 15, 2021, through the official website of Letras de Hoje: https://revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br/ojs/index.php/fale/index
