Interdisciplinary actuation in group of mothers: perception of the women and their families

Abstract

This article has the objective of present the patients’, and their families, perception in relation of the interdisciplinary actuation realized by a health’s multiprofessional team, in the group of mothers from the rooming-in of a University’s Hospital. This is as qualitative descriptive research. Was used, through individual collection, in the questionnaires’ application and collective by the focalized interview. To the tabulation of collected data from the questionnaire, Microsoft Office Excel 2003 software was used and for interviews’ analyses and interpretation the technique of content’s analyses. 31 individuals were interviewed, 24 patients (20 mothers and 4 pregnant) and 7 accompanists. Three final categories were defined: puerperal cares, interdisciplinary action and reflective process. Through this study were verified that the interdisciplinary approach for a health’s multiprofessional team, contributes to identify biopsychosocial necessities present in the puerperal period, as well as, allow the humanization of the attention to the mother-child health.
