Abstract

This article reflects the relation between development and social politics by means of the analyses of the development bids, built by the Occidental Society, by means of the modernity, and, in the same ones, the function represented by social politics. It explains the construction of the bourgeois project, by means of the progress; the development idea, in their capitalist and socialist versions; the bids of the sustainable development, regional development and human development. It starts by the concepts of dialectic analysis, trying to evidence the dimension of the social totality, of the historicity, of the contradictions, of the dynamicity and the movement.

Key words – Development. Social politics. Modernity.
