Abstract

This article aims to discuss the interdiction and the curatorship matters under the Social Service standpoint. The paper focuses on the historic and socially constructed comprehension about mental illness and its causal link with civil and political incapacitation. It also brings reflections about basic concepts related to the civil interdiction process, highlighting the antinomy exclusion/protection inherent to interdiction and curatorship.
