In this study it is evaluated a child’s speech (5:1) that presented signs of phonological deviations. The child in question is in the stage of beginning of the process of literacy, and one of our concerns is related to the deficit that the possible deviations may cause in the child’s literacy process. In order to achieve the purpose of this research, first of all, it was collected data by hearsay, and then the speech was recorded in audio and video, through the program Camtasia 7.0. The procedure used to collect the child’s speech is called” spontaneous naming”, based on the instrument “PAC – Phonological Assessment of Child”, proposed by Yavas, Hernandorena and Lamprecht (2001). The results, which were obtained through a qualitative data analysis, indicated that the subject has already acquired the whole phonetic inventory of the Brazilian Portuguese Language spoken in his region. However, the systematization of the use of language sounds with phonological purposes is still insufficient.Downloads
