E-commerce: the unnatural extinction in contracts that were concluded over the internet

Abstract

The growing expansion of electronic commerce is a reality that is able to generate several juridical effects, which ones still require deepening larger theoretician knowledge. The present article aims to verify if there is juridical security in contracts that were concluded over the internet, despite there’s not cyber law to regulate this new type of contract. First of all, it has done a detailed analysis of the main characteristics and peculiarities of electronic contracts signed in e-commerce websites, with more emphasis on the dealings between consumers and suppliers. Then, an explanation of the contemporary and the supervene causes of unnatural extinction of general contracts that can be required to unmake the electronic contracts are accentuated, indicating the rights and duties provided to the contracting parts in each case.
