The recognition of equal dignity to all people is embodied in the Brazilian Federal Constitution, as well as the goal of building a fraternal, pluralistic and unprejudiced society. This article demonstrates that the foundation for the revitalization of the principle of fraternity lies evidenced in several constitutional provisions and that equality itself is only possible through the recognition of the other, without implying the cancellation of differences, instead, with the acceptance of differences to build a properly human world, representing a third evolutionary phase of constitutionalism: from the liberal to social and from the social to the fraternal.References
