Abstract

This article presents considerations about the way that the teachers conceive the images and how they use visual resources in their activities and projects, according to what was observed in a research which had been carried out with Elementary and High school teachers who work in public schools in Recife-Pernambuco. Out of this starting point, some questions about the use of technology in educational practices are arisen, in the perspective of discussing the power, which is imput to it, as a hypertextual experience inciter, aiming at inciting teachers to analyze, critically, the creation/re-invention of pedagogical strategies, which consider the pedagogical power of the not-verbal texts, especially the pictures. mestre pela Universidade de Nova York; doutora pela Universidade de Londres; professora adjunta da Faculdade de Educação da Universidade de Brasília (UnB), atuando na Graduação e no Programa de Pós Graduação em Tecnologias e Educação; líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Lattes “Educação Hipertextual”, no qual desenvolve pesquisas nas áreas temáticas “Educação e Mídia” e “Hipertexto na Cultura”.
