Interface between organizational culture and communication organization: multicase study in universities

This study assumes that the organizational culture and communication organization are in direct relationship of interdependence (BALDISSERA, 2008b), it is the communicative processes that organizational culture is legitimized or is transformed. Through a multicase study in universities of Rio Grande do Sul, study aimed to reveal the interfaces between culture organizational and organizational communication. Therefore, it was necessary to know the aspects
that characterize the culture in institutions, the understanding of its design and the design of organizational communication. With reference to these goals, we used a theoretical framework which subsidize the discussion culture and communication in universities perspective interrelational. To do so, we sought the principles of complexity proposed by Morin (2003a), aiming at an organizational understanding, systemic and complex university institution. The unveiling of Results demonstrated that the communication is planned in one of universities with the objective to maintain the institutional culture, being present in the official documents of the institution, ratified the interviewees’ statements; in the other two universities, the organizational routine revealed woven into the cultural practices Throughout its existence in the consolidated and the processes communication. Considering the results, it is understood that the organizational communication as a strategy for universities.
