Abstract

The objective of this article is to show the way that society changes produced by capitalism accumulation are reflecting today in the work market of the social worker. To compound this analysis we started from the reflection basis that deals with society changes and the capital’s crisis in the international context and the repercussions that occur in Brazilian society as well in the labor market for social workers with the creation of LOAS – Social Assistance Organic Law. The conclusions evaluate that there was absorption of social workers in the labor market, however it does not mean that there was a reduction in the unemployment rates as well an improvement in the labor conditions.

Key words – Society changes. Labor market. Social work.
